Free asp web space

Question from rtrinkle "I'm looking for a utility that will wipe the free space on a hard drive. I thought Norton Utilities might have this, but I can't find specific info on the Symantec web site that answers the question.

I have 12Ghosts, but I'm not confident that the entire disk is wiped. There's a setting in this program for "limiting free space" which isn't explained in the program documentation so that isn't any help.

So what I want is a utility that recognizes disk space that is occupied by files, leaves that space alone, and wipes unoccupied space."

Answer from DavidR194 "Try "BC Wipe". It has check boxes that let you select what you want wiped (swap file, file slack, directory entries, and free space). It also lets you configure the number of wipes/passes/overwrites you want.
