Today, SunnComm, Inc. (OTC:SUNX) announced that it has selected Microsoft's(R) Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology to couple with its SunnComm(TM) Digital Content Cloaking(TM) Technology (DC2(TM)), which protects Digital Content Publishers' and Authors' Intellectual Property (IP) from unauthorized duplication of digital content delivered on physical media.

This pairing of SunnComm products and Microsoft technology will enable the fledgling Phoenix software technology company to jumpstart its first product release, MediaCloaQ(TM) which is scheduled to debut in its first wide-spread release this month. MediaCloaQ(TM) will debut with Charley Pride's next album, scheduled for release March 20th on Music City Records(TM).

Windows Media DRM protects digital content

Consumers who purchase any audio CD protected by SunnComm(TM) MediaCloaQ(TM) Technology will be able to download digital versions of the songs directly from the SunnComm web site within the next month. The downloaded digital tracks will be protected against piracy using the Windows Media Format and DRM. With the physical CD media locked down from unauthorized duplication by SunnComm's(TM) MediaCloaQ(TM) and digital downloads protected by Windows Media DRM, content owners are assured that only those authorized to listen to the tracks can do so. Ultimately, SunnComm believes, consumers will benefit from the greater availability of digital music and reduced prices.
