Parisian Fantasies - spring/summer 2001 fashions - Brief Article
Clever, creative French designers showcase ingenuity with their spring/summer 2001 collections. There were classic, elegant designs that every woman would love to have grace her body, but there were also fanciful, whimsical garments that allow wearers to express, or dress, their fantasies. The color palette varied from Chanel's pales to Valentino's vivid reds and Ungaro's hot pinks. Chloe's Stella McCartney showed soft, feminine designs with equine themes, while Tom Ford's collection for YSL was all black and white and included several designs with "bondage wrap." Ungaro, staying true to his creative reputation, showed plenty of color, fringe, cleavage and whimsical accents. In many of the Parisian spring designs, fantasies live on.
