FALL/WINTER Predictions From Milan - fashion - Brief Article

For the coming fall and winter, Italian designers are forecasting a fashion season rich in diversity and texture. Predictions from the runways of Milan suggest that there are many ways to brighten up your winter wardrobe--with colors, such as hot pink, purple and red, and with great fabrics and bold designs. Among the coats shown were a knee-length, brown and white abstract print with interesting design elements, a leopard-print wrap coat and a dazzling purple coat with a high, stand-up collar that serves as the coat's only closure.

Despite sporadic bursts of color, earth tones prevailed, as seen in Missoni's snazzy pant ensemble of brown and tan tones. Versace tops a gray suede suit with a big, vest-like fox collar. For evening, there are several interesting designs, including Ferre's sculpted bustier with silk cape and his dazzling hot pink ensemble with top made of petal-like bursts of fabric.
