Qualys stops the Linux Remote Shell Trojan with new free tool - Brief Article

Network vulnerability assessment and monitoring solutions provider Qualys Inc has made available a downloadable tool that scans Linux machines for the Remote Shell Trojan.
The tool, which is available free of charge from https://www.qualys.com/form_remoteshell.html, is able to fix and cleanse infected files.
The Remote Shell Trojan consists of two primary components, the first is a virus-like self replicating function and the second is the installation of a backdoor process that enables remote attacks on the infected system.
