Run Linux On Your iPod
The crew behind the iPodLinux Project have ported Linux to the iPod's hardware, at least first, second and third generation models. (iPodLinux doesn't run on fourth gen, mini or photo models yet.)
What do you do with iPod Linux? From what we've seen, viewing photos and playing games that look quite a bit like Tetris, Pong and Asteroids are the most popular options. There's quite a few more programs in the process of being ported.
It's not a permanent change. A quick reset and your iPod will drop iPodLinux for the regular Apple software.
And, no, in case you're wondering, you don't have to deal with a Linux command line: the crew has put together an interface for your Pod called podzilla.

Think you want to install it?
First read up on it at the iPodLinux Project page.
Then download the Mac or Windows installer and give it a whirl!
