Hewlett-Packard Co. announced that it has extended affordable and reliable data protection to small and midsize businesses using Windows 2000 or Linux operating systems, as well as to businesses using IDE-based PC servers and workstations.
HP has added Windows 2000 and Linux operating-system support to its popular HP SureStore T20 and T20X Travan tape products for server and workstation backup. In addition, HP Colorado Travan desktop tape backup solutions now ship with backup software that is compatible with Windows 2000 Professional desktop environments. The company also introduced the HP SureStore T20XA, an addition to its small-business and workgroup Travan tape backup products. The T20XA provides a complete backup and disaster-recovery solution for low-cost IDE-based PC servers and workstations.
