Nihhon Ido Tsu (IDO), a Tokyo-based cellular service provider, has announced it will allow sales agents to determine the price of cellular phones supplied by Motorola. The new freedom granted IDO sales agents may force prices down in the rigidly controlled Japanese market, where companies usually dictate what prices their sales agents can offer.
