In addition, the application offers other highly anticipated features including:
-- Save as Wallpaper: choose a photo from an online album or the
phone's local memory to use as wallpaper on the handset
display;
-- Save to Phone: save photos to the phone's local memory so they
can be accessed without connecting to the wireless network;
-- Save as Caller ID (where available): select a photo to appear
with an incoming call from a particular phone number; and
-- Access Demo of Photos: experience a demo album of photos
before signing up or logging in.
Snapfish Mobile version 2.0 will initially be made available on ten different handsets through four wireless carriers worldwide. Updates were made to Snapfish Mobile based on surveys among the current customer base.
According to Raj Kapoor, CEO of Snapfish, "The new and enhanced version of Snapfish Mobile was designed based on the customer's needs, and we will continue to solicit feedback from our users to continually provide the best features available."
"The wireless market is evolving and so are the needs of the consumer," said Bjorn Jawerth, CEO of Summus. "The enhancements to the application, such as wallpaper, easier navigation and enhanced image quality have been made possible by the adaptability and flexibility of our BlueFuel platform."
Summus' BlueFuel platform enables service providers, content providers and handset manufacturers to create and deliver mobile applications quickly and on a wider range of devices and operating systems than competing solutions. The platform and architecture give developers the tools necessary to easily build applications for today's resource-constrained wireless environment while providing a superior user experience.
