If you're a scuba diver or water-skier who just can't live without your music, your day is made. H2O Audio and iRiver are collaborating on the first waterproof MP3 player: the H2O Audio SV i700. Designed for "extreme wear and tear" and use near, above, and under water, the device is really a waterproof housing surrounding iRiver's iFP-780 1GB MP3 player. Features will include support for MP3, OGG, ASF, WMA, and WMA-DRM music formats, and the companies promise up to 40 hours of battery life. The SV i700 will ship in September for $99 list, $129 with a waterproof armband.
