Digitalway, the Company Behind the Popular MPIO MP3 Players, Expands Its Product Line With Its Most Advanced Players Yet
Digitalway, Inc. today announced the addition of two new multi-format
MP3/WMA Players to its widely popular MPIO product line. Currently
enjoying their success with the MPIO DMK and DMG players, Digitalway
added its two newest and most advanced players ever, the FL100 and
FD100.
Receiving this year's CES 2003 InnoVations Award, the new MPIO FL100
MP3/WMA player is only a bit larger than a matchbox, but boasts such
features as 256MB of built-in memory, voice recorder, FM radio,
portable data storage with expandable memory using both SD and MMC
cards, and stunning backlit LCD. The FM radio function will allow the
user to directly record broadcasts onto the player. In addition, the
player doubles as a mini portable hard drive, with storage, which
equates to over 177 floppy disks worth of data.
Digitalway's second product is the MPIO FD100 MP3/WMA player, nicknamed
Beautiful Square, due to its stunning appearance and shape. It is
small enough to comfortably fit into any pocket, and this is exactly
Digitalway's intention, as the FD100 comes with an equally innovative
remote, to easily control the unit. The FD100 also packs 256MB of
storage, voice recording, FM radio, portable data storage, and memory
expansion through Smart Media cards. Both the FD100 and its companion
remote feature a backlit LCD, making them easy to use regardless of
lighting conditions. Additionally, the FD100 runs for an incredible
24 hours with just a single AA battery, making it the longest running
MPIO player to date.
"There isn't anything quite like these products on the market
currently," said Marcelino Kim, Vice President of Marketing. "With
the innovative looks, full range of features, and cutting-edge
technology, these two products will have a broad appeal to all of
digital portable audio consumers."
Both PC and Mac compatible, the FL100 and FD100 include such features
as USB support for quick download speed of 4.5 Mbps and backlit LCD
displays that show track information in several languages, including
English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Digitalway includes RealOne
software from RealNetworks, which allows users to encode their CD
collection onto MP3. Both the FL100 and FD100 include a USB Cable,
High Quality Earphones, Carrying Case with Belt Clip, Hand Strap,
battery, User Manual, and Setup CD.
The FL100 and FD100 are both available now for purchase. The FL100 is
$199.99(MSRP) for the 256MB version and $149.49(MSRP) for the 128MB
version. The FD100 is $219.99(MSRP) for the 256MB version and
$169.99(MSRP) for the 128MB version. Both models may be purchased by
